A lot of people confuse barbecuing with grilling. Barbecuing is when you cook meat over indirect, low heat with wood or charcoal for an extended period of time. One of the first things to do when preparing to barbecue is to marinate or tenderize the meat. A good marinade will break down protein fibers and soften hard and dry meats. There are many things you can use to marinate your meat. You can use pineapple juice or other citrus juices. You could also use tomatoes, buttermilk, wine, or lemon juice. They also sell a variety of different marinades at grocery stores. If you add extra virgin olive oil to any of your marinades, you will have a tenderizing marinade.

To seal in the juices of your steak, you should cook it on medium to high heat. You can brush melted butter or olive oil mixed with spices on the steak when you put it on the heat. Then once you flip it to the other side, you can brush it on there, too.

You should only flip the steak one time and you should never puncture the steak with a fork. Always use tongs or a spatula to handle the steak, so that you don't let any of the flavorful juices drip out onto the bottom of the grill and out of your delicious steak!

It is good to keep tabs on the internal temperature of the meat, and you can do this easily with an inexpensive meat thermometer. You will want to take the meat off of the barbecue just before it is actually done cooking and let it sit for a little while. It will continue to cook for several minutes after being removed from the grill. If you don't take this into account, your meat can get overcooked and/or dry.

Wonder Woman Deluxe Costume Adult

This Amazon beauty has been given powers by the Greek gods and goddesses. Deluxe costume includes red & blue strapless mini dress with Wonder Woman logo, star accents, red cape, gauntlets, red velvet & white boot tops*, and gold tiara with a red star (Note: Tiara is slightly smaller than pictured). Available in Adult sizes: X-Small, Small, and Medium. *Please Note: It has just come to our attention that due to a manufacturer error there maybe some bleeding of color on the boot tops. If you receive a pair with a lot of color bleeding, please call Customer Service to arrange a replacement pair. We apologize for the inconvenience. Also, due to a style change by the manufacturer the boot tops are now red velvet instead of the red shown in the image. This is an officially licensed Wonder WomanTM costume. TM & © DC Comics.
Customer Review: Boot covers...
Beware of the boot covers that come with the costume. They are not the same ones pictured on the model. The ones that come in the package are a cheap velvety material that are so loose, they end up all twisted and gather at the shins. They look more like leg warmers! I went ahead and purchased the 3" Gogo boots. They work awesome and are super comfy.
Customer Review: Great Costume Bad Vendor
When I received this costume the first time, the bag was ripped opened. The white part of the boot covers were stained red and the accessories like the belt, wrist bands and crown were not sewn or the Velcro part was loose. The main costume was stretched out. I called and waited a week for it to be replaced. The second replacement was a little better but the boots were still stained and this time the belt was missing. At this point since I needed the costume that week, I called and requested the belt to be shipped which they did. I would not get a costume from this vendor unless you plan to get something damaged, It looks to me that they store their costumes in hot storage areas causing the colors to bleed example the boot covers. Also the costume itself runs pretty big. I ordered a medium and I am a size 10, should have ordered a small. But, it is a nice looking costume you should get but from another reliable vendor not this one.

When one thinks of the state of Illinois one of the first cities they will most likely think of is Chicago. However, when someone thinks of the state of Illinois, the odds are pretty good that they aren't going to first visualize many villages within the state. Big cities and big businesses are the first thing that most people are first to associate with the state of Illinois. However, there are still a few villages out there in Illinois.

The village of Monee, Illinois is one of those villages. As of the year 2000 census there were only approximately 3,000 residents in the village. Monee, Illinois is located approximately 40 miles south of Chicago. Despite being located so far from downtown Chicago and only having a small amount of residents, Monee healthcare is some of the best around.

If you are looking for fun things to do in Monee, look no further than the golf course. Monee's golf course covers thirty four acres and is open from April through October. If you are visiting Monee in the fall season, be sure to check out their Fall Faire. This Faire has been operating since 1995 and is a three day event. All of the organizations in and around the area participate in this fun event. There are plenty of activities including food, games, crafts and more. Also held in conjunction with the Fall Faire is the community garage sale in which anyone can participate. The garage sale itself is so large that they will even provide you with a map of all of the sales. You could also visit the Monee hospital if you start to feel queasy from all the food you might consume. The Halloween party is also a great place for entertainment. This party takes place in the middle of the village with food, games and prizes for kids of all ages. The party also includes a haunted house and the annual Halloween bonfire.

Also located in the middle of the village there is a park that has recently been upgraded. The park now includes a tennis and basketball court as well as a large baseball field. The park also has a football field which will eventually be able to convert to a soccer field as well. Located throughout all parts of the village are tot lots where the younger children can have a place to play.

Although Monee may not be the biggest city in Illinois, it sure is a place that provides a great sense of community. Whether you are a long time resident or merely in the village for the Monee, Illinois hospital, there is always something happening in a community that will welcome you with open arms. Monee is a wonderful place to raise a family with most of the events centered around children.

Halloween is a fun time of year for children of all ages-and all species. For those of you who are pet lovers you might already know that you can find creative cat and dog Halloween costumes to make the holiday even more special for you and your furry friend. If this is something that you are interested in there are a few different options that you can look into to learn more about the topic. The first suggestion would be to search online to get an idea of what you would like to dress your pet up as. You can also go to the larger pet stores to see what they might have to offer you for information on the subject.

Once you know what type of creative costume your want for your pet you will need to decide what you will use for accessories. If you are planning on having your cat be a dog for Halloween you might want to have him wear bones made out of paper around his neck. Just something simple and cute like that would work. Why not have your pet's costume match the theme as your children's? Your little girl could be Bo Peep while your black lab could be her lost sheep. Looking for an idea that is a little more complicated? Have your son be Elliot and your rat terrier can be E.T. the alien. The most fun part about Halloween is that you get to let your imagination and creativity run wild.

If you are planning on taking your old pooch "trick-or-treating" with the family you will want to take this into consideration, does the costume work well with a collar and leash? You wouldn't want something tragic to happen to your beloved friend on such a joyous evening. In the even that you might be out past dark you should put reflective tape on the collar and leash of your pets. You could also purchase these accessories that are made for doing such activities in the dark. Also, make sure the costume fits properly. Too small of a costume could be hazardous to your pet because it might not allow your pet to move as easily. If danger where to head your way your pet might not be able to get out of the way in time due to the restrictions. Always be sure to never leave your pet unattended while in a costume. An animal can easily become tangled up while wearing a costume and this could lead to serious injuries or even death.

You can shop for your cat or dog Halloween costume at most pet stores. Online is another option for shopping. Many pet suppliers have catalogues that you can have shipped right to your door to look through. You will be able to mail in an order or even make a purchase online. Making your own costume is another possibility. You can find free patterns or patterns for a relatively low cost online or at fabric stores. Whichever method you decide to use to allow your pet to join in on the fun is up to you. Just be sure to have the perfect fit for the safety of your pet. Don't forget to give your pet a couple treats, too.

Child's Daniel Boone Halloween Costume (Size: Large 12-14)

Shh...don't tell anyone, because I would never want to sound like a party pooper, but I do have to quietly admit to you that holiday parties have never been a favorite time in the classroom for me. I don't know, 30 kids wired up on excitement, sugar, and costumes...what am I missing?

So, with that in mind, I've always tried to sneak in learning activities that have the disguise of holiday celebrations! When I was a classroom teacher my holiday parties strongly resembled "center activities" where students moved from one activity to the next. Kids know how to do this normal classroom routine and this kept craziness to a minimum.

Holiday activities can still meet content and technology standards yet be disguised as holiday activities. Really, many of the best school activities that we can remember from our childhood are probably activities that we enjoyed foremost, and if we reflected really hard, we'd find learning behind the scenes.

Keeping the multiple intelligences in mind, we can have students engaged in activities that meet those intelligences while celebrating the "second most popular holiday" Halloween. We can focus on internet research and information gathering while learning about the history of Halloween. After all, actually reading and gathering information to share with others is an important skill. Using visual and spacial intelligence students can create an imaginary map of Transylvania and include a required list of objects and areas along with a key, compass rose, and title.

Using interpersonal intelligence the children can write group stories. Each child writes a beginning of a story and after five minutes the computers all shift to the right (or the children shift if you are using desktop machines.) After four or five shifts the stories return to the original child so an ending can be added. Share with the class.

Designing recipes for Halloween potions and then changing the amount of ingredients to serve 15, 30, or 5 guests will inspire the logical/mathematical minds to engage!

How about using the verbal/linguistic aspects of the minds to create creative epitaphs. So often we see Halloween displays in local yards with interesting gravestones. Write some for yourself and have your students write some for themselves and their family members.

Bodily/Kinesthetic learners will enjoy a rousing game of charades based upon October or Halloween careers. Who will act out the mortician? How about the scarecrow? Can you be an apple picker?

Some radio stations have been known to begin playing Christmas carols immediately following Halloween. Where are all the Halloween carols? The musical intelligence within us will inspire Halloween carols. Review some online and then create your own.

I have done many of these activities in the computer lab; especially the history lesson, the map drawing (using KidPix), and the epitaph creation (using KidPix). I've used laptops with groups to do the interpersonal story writing.

Hopefully some of these activities will help you continue to make kids think and expand their minds while also celebrating the holiday season.

So, sneak in learning when you can under whatever disguise is required!

Christmas is celebrated around the world. While every family or community has their own traditions, there are certain regional traditions that are very specific and vary widely from region to region.

In Italy, from Rome south the traditional Christmas Eve dinner is that of seven fish. Throughout Italy, the Christmas Eve meals are traditionally meatless, given that the day is a day of abstinences in the Catholic Church. Another wonderful Italian culinary Christmas tradition is that of the Milanese Panattone. A sweet bread loaded with raisins, candied fruits and nuts. It is perfect for breakfast and makes incredible French toast.

Just north of Italy is Germany, where there is a rich tradition of the outdoor Christmas Markets. Despite the cold temperatures German families head outside to shop for classic Christmas goodies and to enjoy regional specific Christmas goodies. This tradition dates back to the 14th Century. The markets open during the end of November and stay open until right before Christmas Eve,

Another German tradition is that of Gluehwein and Stollen. Spiced Wine and the traditional German Christmas cake, loaded with raisins and nuts and covered in a sugar glaze are a time honored Christmas treat in German homes.

In Greece, Christmas is celebrated on December 25, unlike the celebration of Easter, which follows the Orthodox calendar. While Christmas in Greece is very important, it is a much more solemn holiday than in the West and therefore there are less gaudy decorations and more focus on the religious nature of the holiday.

In England the tradition of Wassailing dates back to the middle ages. Wassil, a heady mix of honey, ale and spices, is best shared among a group. Severed in a bowl or huge pewter or wooden mug, it would be passed around the group as a greeting. Traditionally the bowl would be carried from house to house celebrate and share a holiday greeting.

In England, Boxing Day is the day following Christmas. Traditionally and historically a day set aside for the poor, it is now a national holiday in England. In the 18th century and forward, the Lord and Lady of the manor would "box" up their leftovers and small gifts to provide to the servants of the manor house and tenants on their land. Since many of the household servants and other poorly paid workers would be required to work on Christmas Day, Boxing Day was the day they would go to visit their family.

In England during the 21st century, Boxing Day is a day to visit family, a day to offer small tokens to tradesmen, such as the milkman or postman. Families often gather to play board games and share a meal, enjoy a walk in the countryside or indulge in a break with tradition and go shopping, checking out the New Year sales early.

In Mexico the celebration of Christmas begins on December 16th with the nine days of Las Posadas. Las Posadas is a nine-day celebration, which includes candle lit processions and lively parties. Another wonderful Christmas tradition is the Shepard's plays. Professional groups and armatures put on these reenactments of the Christmas stories alike.

In Mexican houses, the principal Christmas decoration is the Nativity Scene. It is often built by hand and assembled over the course of the season.

In Brazil, the tradition of Las Pasadas is also widely practices, only in the Brazilian version of the plays, it is a shepherdess who is following the star and a gypsy woman who has designs on stealing the figure of the Christ child fro the nativity scene.

Brazil has a very multicultural history and many of their traditions vary widely by region, based upon immigration patterns. The same is to be said for Australia. It is also important to not that in both of these multicultural countries that it is summer, so many families celebrate Christmas by dining outdoors and enjoying the abundant sunshine and warm temperatures.

In India, even though Christians are a minority group, Christmas is still celebrated and is a good mix of British traditions from the colonial period and rich regional additions. In some areas banana trees and mango trees are decorated with lights. Greetings are shared with neighbors and parties are hosted. In urban areas, hotels and nightclub host office and families parties. Santa Klaus pays a visit to good boys and girls.

In Japan, less than 1% of the population is Christian, but Christmas is celebrated nonetheless. For Christians the holiday is less about exchanging gifts with family members and more about sharing good cheer with the poor and especially those who are in the hospital. Many businesses and private homes decorate with evergreens and bows.

No matter how the holiday is celebrated, Christmas is about love and compassion & food and family. The greatest gifts of the season are togetherness and love, no matter the language or the food.

Adult Men's Hansel Halloween Costume

A career as a Physician Assistant (PA) requires one to enjoy working with and helping patients, have the ability to act quickly and calmly in an emergent situation, and have an appreciation for the study of medicine.

Physician Assistants practice medicine under the direct supervision of physicians and surgeons, and are considered and extension of the physician. The role of the Physician Assistant is to perform routine tasks and relieve the physician of these duties.

PAs are formally trained to diagnose, treat, and provide preventative health care services, as delegated by a supervising physician. They also treat minor injuries and suture lacerations, splint or cast injured limbs, fingers, and toes. PAs record medical record documentation, instruct and council patients, and write prescriptions as permitted by law. Many PAs take on administrative duties as well and supervise other practice staff, order supplies, and generally oversee the daily activities of the clinical portion of the practice.

Many Physician Assistants work in primary care offices, such as pediatrics, family medicine, and internal medicine. PAs may also work in specialty practices in surgery, emergency medicine, urgent care, orthopedics, and geriatrics. Hospitals, outpatient clinics, health insurance companies, schools, and the government also employ Physician Assistants.

Physician Assistant education programs are two years and many PA programs have clinical teaching affiliations with medical schools. To qualify for admission to a PA program, some college and healthcare experience is required. Typical PA students have a bachelors degree and approximately four years of experience in a healthcare career, commonly nursing, EMT, or paramedic. PAs receive hands-on clinical training and usually rotate through several areas of specialized medicine, including geriatrics, pediatrics, gynecology, and psychiatry.

Physician Assistants are required to pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination, administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is open only to graduates of accredited PA schools. PAs must log 100 hours of continuing education every two years and sit for a recertification exam every six years.

A physician assistant career can be highly profitable. Learn what it takes to get into physician assistant schools from http://www.careertoolkits.com
